Long Term Missions

We aim to be a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered, and Mission-focused movement in everything we do. Founded in the 1880s, The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, now The Alliance Canada, started out as two separate organizations, one a missionary sending organization, and the other sought to engage followers of Jesus into a deeper walk with him. We have been sending missionaries long before we became a denomination. Our ultimate goal is to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age." At the heart of our desire to send missionaries is that all would know the love and salvation that God has for them.

We are taking steps to complete this mission by focusing on least-reached people groups in the world. We aim to challenge our church members to live on mission with God, whether that be in a Canadian suburb or in a remote mountain village in Asia. Join us as we complete God's call to tell everyone about the Good News of Jesus Christ!
