Governing Documents

As a member church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, we are governed under the provisions of the Local Church Constitution, which is contained in the Manual of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.

We are also governed by local Bylaws which are described in the Constitution as follows:

"The local church may adopt additional bylaws, policies and regulations which govern the local church but in no case shall such bylaws, policies and regulations contradict the provisions of the Local Church Constitution."

Our Bylaws, therefore, are in accordance with the Local Church Constitution and complete those areas that are left to the local church to stipulate or at it's discretion to modify to suit its needs. The Bylaws follow the same structure as the Constitution and do not repeat the Articles that are complete in the Constitution. Therefore, when reading the Bylaws you must refer also to the Constitution to get the entire picture.
